Summer Camps
The Town of Somers, the Recreation Department and the staff of all our summer camps would like to thank you for attending our camps during the summer of 2009. We hope you had fun! You helped to make it one of our most successful and enjoyable seasons ever... we look forward to seeing you again this summer!
Summer Camp 2010 Info:
With the current economy and high cost of fuel, why bring your child to an out of town camp, when we offer one for every interest right here in town. Our day and sports camps are an affordable alternative to day care and fun for all ages!
Registration for ALL camps is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration begins on April 26.
All registrations this season will be taken online by clicking on the appropriate camp registration form below.
Your on line registration will put you into our database, but your registration will NOT be
confirmed until we receive payment.
*ABSOLUTELY NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT ANY OF THE CAMPS - REGISTRATION IS IN ADVANCE ONLY -
ON LINE OR IN PERSON AT THE LAND USE OFFICE. IF YOU BRING A CHILD TO CAMP UNREGISTERED YOU WILL
BE DIRECTED TO REGISTER AT THE LAND USE OFFICE (If space is available). CAMPERS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO ANY CAMP WITHOUT CONFIRMED PRE-REGISTRATION. IF AN UNREGISTERED CHILD IS "DROPPED OFF" AT A CAMP THE POLICE WILL BE CONTACTED TO PICK UP THE CHILD AT THAT TIME. THIS IS DONE FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE CHILD. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION WITH OUR NEW SYSTEM.

You may also pay in person at the Somers Town Hall Land Use Office daily from 9am - 1pm.
No registrations will be accepted until April 26th.
Out of town applicants will be able to register starting May 1.

SUMMER DAY CAMP
8 consecutive weeks beginning June 28 running through August 20.
Held at Field Road Park Recreation facility
Check in: 8:30am Pick up: 2:30pm After-care until 4:30pm
Somers residents: $100/camper ~ $75 for each additional sibling
Out of Town: $100/camper + $25 out of town fee ~ $75 each additional sibling + $25
*Field Trip Fees are INCLUDED in Camp Tuition*
After Care is $35/Week payable in advance only by check/cash.
SMALL FRY CAMP
6 Consecutive weeks
July 6 - August 13
Held at Somers Elementary School Gymnasium
9am - 12noon
Somers residents: $75/camper $60/each additional sibling
Out of town: $90/camper
Week#1 is a 4 day week: $60/$45 additional siblings, $75/out of town

SOMLAX Lacrosse Camp Registration
July 19 - July 23
Session I: 8:30 - 11:00 grades 4 - 6
Session II: 12:30 - 3:00 grades 7 - 9
Fee: $125 Out of Town Fee: $140
Director: Ken McCarthy, Varsity LAX Coach @ SHS for 18 years.
Coach McCarthy and his staff will provide a safe environment where players of all ages and abilities
can have fun and improve their game by learning the fundamental skills and advanced tactics and techniques of lacrosse.
SWISH School of Basketball Registration
June 28 - July 2:
Sessions I: Grades 6 - 9: 9:00am - 12:00 Fee: $125 Out of Town: $140
Session II: Grades 2 - 5: 12:30 - 2:30 (Start time is incorrect on online form)
Fee: $90 Out of Town: $105
Director: John Hostetler, Varsity Boy's Basketball Coach SHS
Emphasis will be placed on learning individual offensive and defensive skills. Each day all campers will
participate in a team game, through which they will further develop their understanding of basketball tactics and teamwork.
