RECYCLING CENTER (RC) CLOSED HOLIDAYS
Monday, January 19, 2026, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day	Saturday, July 4, 2026, for Independence Day
Monday, February 16, 2026, for Presidents' Day	Monday, September 7, 2026, for Labor Day
Sunday, April 5, 2026, for Easter Sunday	Monday, October 12, 2026, for Columbus Day
Monday, May 25, 2026, for Memorial Day	Thursday, November 26, 2026, for Thanksgiving

Somers Recycling Center Permit is available for purchase and is valid until June 30, 2026.

As of April 1, 2026, the price of the RC Permit will increase to $80.00.

ALL PERMIT APPLICATIONS WILL REQUIRE PROOF OF RESIDENCY IN THE TOWN OF SOMERS.   
THIS WILL BE 100% ID CHECK.

Items needed to obtain a Recycling Center permit. 

1. Valid driver's license or state ID.

2. (One of the following) Vehicle registration, most recent home or vehicle tax bill from the Town of Somers, proof of home/business purchase or rental agreement, or utility, water, or sewer bill showing name and address residing in Somers.

3. Permit Application.

4. Permit fee in cash, check, or credit card.
